Speak of the devil...

Captain Snowcloud's birthday is today! He's also been sick this week so maybe you can pop over and give him a hug. Don't tell him I sent you, though. He thinks I'm mean...

ok, I popped over and offered my bday best to um what was his name? Harry? No wait D as in David Dari!

I don't know why I mention this so I will blame the Nyquil, but today there was a How-To-Make paper lei's link on my google homepage.

I went to look at it and boy were they off. First of all they didn't even spell 'lay' right, so I figured I'd write my own How-To;

how to make a paper lay (some say lei, but I looked it up, the proper term is lay)

this is quite simple really and doesn't often even require a treat!

1. utilizing a flat surface such as a table, smooth paper to insure there are no creases or wrinkles (this is important!).

2. stand paper on end (lengthwise or widthwise, it doesn't really matter).

3. Firmly and clearly give the command "Lay!"

4. release paper.

5. always praise your paper even if it fails on the first attempt. Sometimes in the excitement of the moment your paper may fall to the floor, but pick it up and say "Good paper! Nice paper!That was a very good try." and place it flat on the table(It is important that you paper feels good about itself).

6. repeat steps one thru 5 until satisfied with papers performance.

*note: if your paper has not successfully completed this task after several tries, some people will crumple paper and replace with new sheet.
